So! You STILL Want to be a Library Director: The Data Driven Director

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
To be an impactful library director, you will need to demonstrate success, develop and maintain detailed reports, and tell the library’s story in an insightful and thoughtful way. And that means DATA! Gathering data takes time, energy, and a keen eye on what you need to know about your library and community. In this session learn about data collection, organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation. This is what will help make your decisions well researched and easy to digest and explain. Learn from directors, vendors, and the state library on the details of data. For assistant directors, branch managers, department heads, new directors, and those new to their career or library school students – anyone whose career path might lead to a public library directorship. Academic librarians welcome as well – many of the same characteristics apply to all types of libraries. A follow-up to the North Carolina Public Library Directors Association’s popular “So! You Want to be a Public Library Director…” 2017 preconference.
