The 2020 Census will soon be here, and there is a lot to discuss including the role of libraries in the decennial count of our communities. This presentation is a general discussion of the U.S. Census and its importance. We will discuss changes in the Census from 2010 to 2020 from content to technology. It takes over 10 years of testing, planning, preparation, and promotion to conduct a Census. We will talk about what has happened already, what’s underway, and what is planned and the role of libraries in the 2020 Census.
