In fall 2018, the library at Central Carolina Community College engaged in an in-depth assessment of library instruction, attempting to assess students' transference of a variety of dispositions and knowledge practices in the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy. In analyzing these assessments, we found several areas with extreme disconnect between the concepts we were teaching and students' display of information literacy. Using textual analysis, we went beyond simply assessing whether or not students could display the expected skills and dug deeply into the specific knowledge practices and dispositions students were failing to display. This poster provides a brief visual display of the data we collected.
